The Recovery Friendly Workplace Construction Summit is a one-day, action-focused training for construction industry employers who want to reduce substance-related risks on job sites, increase retention, and improve the bottom line — while supporting workers in recovery. The Summit will offer an in-depth look at what it means to be a Recovery Friendly Workplace, providing the necessary tools and training to support their staff. Participants will complete all three Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) training modules required for the RFW designation during the Summit. The Summit integrates industry-specific evidence and practical policy tools, enabling your company to become a certified RFW and immediately apply what you learn on active job sites. • To comply with RFW designation requirements, this training is meant for all managers and HR staff. • For larger companies that may not have the ability to have all key lead staff attend the Summit, they may attend future scheduled Zoom training modules for completion requirements. • After successful training and fulfilling the RFW checklist, employers will receive the MDHHS designation and be recognized on the Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace website To learn more about the Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative and designation process, please visit the recoveryfriendlymi.com website.
